BTG Pactual Global Alternatives, a US$ 11.5 billion division of BTG Pactual focused on specialized alternative investments, has announced the appointment of Tim Garry as Director and Trader for its Performing Credit strategy.
In this role, Tim will contribute to investment decision-making, trading, and underwriting across the Performing Credit platform, drawing on a decade of experience in fundamental credit investing.
Tim has 10 years of market experience conducting extensive credit analysis across the Technology, Media, Telecom, Financial Services, Business Services, and Plastics & Packaging sectors. He joins BTG Pactual Global Alternatives from Tikehau Capital, where he served as Director. Previously, Tim served as a Director at Great Elm Capital, and a Junior Portfolio Manager and Senior Credit Analyst at Sancus Capital. Earlier in his career, he spent five years at Zais Group, working alongside recent BTG Pactual Global Alternatives hires Vincent Ingato and Brian O’Leary on the Leveraged Finance team. Tim’s experience spans corporate credit analysis, credit trading, CLO equity investing, and CLO structuring.
Tim joins a growing leadership team that includes Head of Performing Credit Chris Allen, Co-Heads of Research Brian O’Leary and Eric Ballantine, and Senior Portfolio Manager Vincent Ingato.
