Astrologer Nancy Volante of The Whispering Soul Recently Featured on Close Up Radio

RIDGEFIELD, CT, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Nancy Volante has a simple answer for clients who want her to predict the future: She will not. What she will do, she explains, is help clients figure out where they already stand, and where they are trying to go.

Volante is an astrologer and the founder of The Whispering Soul, where she blends humanistic and evolutionary astrology with a background in restorative yoga and body based coaching. Her clients come to her for chart readings, wellness coaching packages, and short discovery calls. The through line in all of it, she shares, “… is presence over prediction.”

“To feel is to heal,” Volante says, describing the core of her approach. “Readings are about presence.”

Much of her work centers on what she calls a person’s “true North,” a concept borrowed from the North and South Nodes in birth charts. The South Node, she explains, represents what a person already knows, the patterns and skills built over a lifetime. The North Node sits opposite and points toward what still feels unfamiliar, even uncomfortable. The North Node is where real growth happens.

“We don’t want to throw anything out that’s in the South,” Volante says. “We want to bring it with us to find something new.”

She is careful to note that ignoring one’s North Node is not a failure, just a choice, one that can leave a person feeling stuck or restless, rather than doomed. “You certainly can live right where you are,” she says. “It’s all about what you want your potential to be.”

Volante is trained in evolutionary astrology, which places heavy emphasis on the planet Pluto and the North and South Nodes. However, she leans more toward humanistic astrology in practice, folding in psychology and intuition rather than forecasting. That distinction shapes how she screens her clients, too. She recalled one who wanted her to tell them what would happen five months out. When it became clear what the client truly wanted, Volante says she was honest rather than forcing the relationship to continue.

“Not everybody is right for you, and you’re not right for everybody,” she shares.

Burnout recovery has become a central part of her coaching, one she approaches through the nervous system rather than the calendar. She describes burnout as a body stuck in fight or flight, unable to settle back into a calmer, restorative state, a pattern she says has only grown more common amid constant phone and social media use. Her years running a yoga studio (which she has since sold), inform how she works with clients to rebuild that sense of regulation.

She uses what she calls the ARCH medicine wheel, a four-direction framework for Alignment, Relationship, Consciousness and Healing that she learned from her teacher, clinical psychologist and astrologer Heather Ensworth, alongside Christina Lee. Volante uses ARCH both in group settings and in one-on-one sessions, walking clients through each direction as a way to settle the nervous system and reconnect with what she calls the “soul self.”

Volante also holds monthly readings at the Hummingbird Healing Center, and she has recently expanded her writings and teachings onto YouTube and Substack. The goal, she says, is to make astrology useful to people who have no interest in learning its language.

“It’s not about being an astrologer,” she explains. “It’s about understanding how we live together as people, and using astrology as a way to enter that understanding.”

Her latest project is a blog built around the Cancer archetype and what home really means, all tied to a recent new moon and Mercury retrograde in the sign. In a birth chart, she notes, Cancer sits in the fourth house, the foundation from which everything is built.

For those not ready to commit to a full reading, Volante also offers a fifteem-minute Discovery Call, a service she says more people should try. “The Discovery Call is about listening to what the person has to say,” she explains, “and what they actually need.”
