Rebranded ash scattering memorial company announces Route 66 Centennial journey beginning Nov. 11 and a year-long journey through all 63 U.S. National Parks

The company, which has served more than 600 families since 2021 through ash scattering memorials, consultations, memorial products and veterans urn assistance, is marking the expansion with two major memorial journeys: a Route 66 Centennial Legacy Journey beginning in Chicago on November 11, 2026 — exactly 100 years after Route 66 was established — and a 63 National Parks Memorial Journey planned for 2027.

Founded in 2021, Eternal Alaska grew as families requested ash scattering memorials at meaningful destinations beyond Alaska. Eternal Legacy Service now coordinates destination memorials that may include transportation and care of cremated ashes, real-time tracking, Scattering Moment videos, GPS documentation, memorial certificates and professional photography. Route 66 Centennial Legacy Journey
The Route 66 Centennial Legacy Journey will carry one loved one’s cremated ashes more than 2,400 miles through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California toward Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean.
The journey is planned to include up to 25 individually documented scattering moments along or near the historic route, subject to applicable laws, permissions, weather and accessibility. The family can follow the journey through real-time tracking and receive Scattering Moment videos, GPS documentation, professional photography and a custom Route 66 Centennial keepsake book.
Subject to weather, marine conditions and applicable requirements, the final chapter is planned as an ash scattering at sea in the Pacific Ocean. The journey is offered starting at $39,500.
63 National Parks Memorial Journey
Eternal Legacy Service is also planning an approximately year-long 63 National Parks Memorial Journey for 2027. The $149,500 journey will carry one loved one’s cremated ashes through all 63 U.S. National Parks, from Alaska and Hawaii to American Samoa and across the continental United States.
Where ash scattering is legally permitted and practical, portions will be respectfully scattered in accordance with applicable National Park Service requirements. Where scattering cannot legally or practically be performed, the cremated ashes will still make the journey to the park and that chapter will be documented through photography and, where available, a cancellation stamp collected in the U.S. National Parks Passport Book carried throughout the journey.
The journey is being planned in about 10 travel segments around seasonal conditions and accessibility. At the conclusion, the family will receive the completed Passport Book, a custom memorial photo album, Scattering Moment videos, GPS documentation and professional photographs.
